Staying in Touch
Here is an overview of our communication tools and some suggestions for which are the right onesfor you.
Electronic newsletter: Valentine publishes a monthly electronic newsletter that is delivered by email to all residents who have signed up for the service. You do not have to be a member of VNA to receive the newsletter, although we hope you will consider joining if the newsletter seems valuable. If you cannot receive email, you can notify us and we will make sure you get a paper copy of the
newsletter.
  • Who’s it for: The newsletter is the official report of the Valentine Neighborhood Association.It keeps you up to date on our activities, the positions we have taken on issues, new developments in the neighborhood, and upcoming events and activities.
  • How to get it: Send an email to maryjo@drapercom.com and ask to be added to the email list. If you do not have email, contact Jennifer Larson to arrange for delivery.
Facebook: The neighborhood association has a Facebook page where neighbors can share news,photos and where people can connect.
  • Who’s it for: Facebook is a social tool for people who want to stay in touch with their neighbors and friends.
  • How to get it: Go to the Facebook site, search for Valentine Neighborhood, and become a fan.
VNA website: Valentine maintains a website with neighborhood news, archives and links to vital information at www.valentineneighborhood.com.
  • Who’s it for: Anyone who needs the latest information on the neighborhood.
  • How to get it: Go to www.valentineneighborhood.com.
Google Group: The Google group is a way for residents of Valentine to exchange information directly with other residents. It is the fastest way to get out the word about crime, suspicious people, lost pets, and to exchange information about anything neighborhood-related.
  • Who’s it for: Anyone who lives in Valentine.
  • How to get it: Go to ValentineKCMO@googlegroups.com and sign up. You’ll get an email back when you’ve been added to the group.
